Our Services

At All Souls Church, we open our arms wide to welcome everyone to be a part of our community, regardless of your gender, sexuality, or any other aspect of your life or identity. We celebrate the beautiful diversity among us and believe that each person brings unique gifts that enrich our shared experience.

You are invited to join us in worship, connection, and love — all are truly embraced here!

9am Sunday

We invite you to join us for our unashamedly traditional service, where we celebrate with the Anglican New Zealand Prayer Book and heartfelt hymns. We also provide activity packs for children to engage them during the service. Following our time of worship, we would be delighted to have you join us for morning tea where we connect and share together.

10:30am Sunday

Join us for our welcoming, family-friendly service designed for whānau of every kind. No matter what "family" means to you, we’re excited to have you here! The service lasts 45 minutes and includes fun, creative interactions. We aim to use inclusive, non-religious language to ensure everyone feels at home. Come and be a part of our community!

An intimate service with strong fellowship, this service uses the Anglican New Zealand Prayer Book and traditional hymns with organ accompaniment. We have morning tea together afterwards every week.

Taizé - 5pm, First Sundays

5pm on the first Sunday of the month. This is a quiet candlelit, contemplative service including a Bible reading, contemporary reading, prayers, periods of silence and Taizé chants/songs. We ask that you arrive and leave in silence.

BCP - 8am, Fifth Sundays

Each time there is a fifth Sunday in a month, we have an 8am service in the chapel. This is a short service, without singing, from the 1662AD Book of Common Prayer (BCP). Come and worship with words that have been used to worship God for centuries.

Not everyone has capacity to attend services at our venue. We therefore hold monthly services at local rest homes and retirement villages, including: Fitzroy of Merivale Rest Home, Merivale Retirement Village, Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village, Nurse Maude Care Home, and Victoria Care Supportive Rest Home.

We also provide home communion for those who would like to participate in the community but need to do so from their home. Please contact us if you would like us to bring communion to you or a loved one.
